As State Treasurer, I have invested the State's money to earn over $400 million for the 

General Fund; returned over $30 million in Unclaimed Property to Alabama taxpayers; 

made college more affordable for Alabama families, and helped create thousands of new 

jobs.  I have proven that with the right leadership, state government can operate 

effectively, honestly and efficiently.  

I will do the same as Lieutenant Governor.

If your going to bring gambling to Alabama, the best solution is casinos. Casinos bring 

tourism, which brings new hotels, restaurants, retail sales, and the list goes on. This 

means jobs to reduce unemployment. More tax revenue for the state, for 

education and crime prevention.  "The lottery does nothing for our economy, 

just the politician's income."
